Steelers, Redskins Record Wins

 

The Steelers and Redskins scored big wins in Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department 10-12 football action Saturday at Community Stadium.

The Steelers beat the Vikings 35-7 and the Redskins whipped the Cowboys 28-7.

 

Steelers 35

Vikings 7

The Steelers led 20-0 at halftime.

Devonta Williams scored on a 13-yard run and caught a 40-yard TD pass from Dominique Evans in the first quarter to pace the Steelers.

Williams had another 35-yard TD reception and returned a punt 60 yards for another score. Quinton Anglero also scored on a 48-yard pass from Evans.

Evans ran in three conversions and the Steeler defense had a safety.

Mike Millner scored for the Vikings and Jakel Pass had a conversion.

Williams had two interceptions and Mekail Winchester and Jaylin Scales recovered fumbles for the Steelers.

Tyree Johnson had a fumble recovery for the Vikings.

 

Redskins 28

Cowboys 7

Rhamel Irving scored on a 40-yard to start the game for the Redskins. Eric Poteat scored on a six-yard run and Denzel Myers added a 10-yard run in the first quarter for the Redskins.

Irving added a 37-yard scoring run in the second half.

P.J. Barham had two extra points while Brock Trahan added a pair.

Jarron Cobb scored on a 20-yard pass from Javon Jacob to lead the Cowboys.

Cobb added the extra point.

Ratrez Johnson and Jordan Nelson recovered fumbles for the Redskins.
