Redskins Pull Away For Win

 

The Redskins broke open a tight game with two scores in the third quarter to hand the Vikings a 21-6 loss in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department 10-12 football game Saturday in Community Stadium.

In the other game, the Steelers blanked the Cowboys 19-0.

The Redskins broke a 6-6 tie with a pair of touchdowns in the second half.

Justin Smith scored on an 18-yard run and added an extra point and Brock Trahan scored on a 30-yard run. Rhamel Irving added a 70-yard kickoff return in the second quarter. The Redskins also recorded a safety.

Tashawn Nimmons scored on a 44-yard run for the Vikings.

Jawan Hammock recovered three fumbles for the Vikes and Kevon Cummings had one.

Steelers 19

Cowboys 0

Dominique Evans scored on a 47-yard run in the first quarter and then threw a 50-yard TD pass to Quinton Anglero in the second to lead the Steelers. Devonte Williams added a 30-yard scoring run. Evans added on extra point run.

Tyree Smith had an interception for the Steelers.

Tyre Wilson and Talvin White intercepted passes for the Cowboys and Marques Mims had a fumble recovery.
