Bears Take League Lead

 

The Bears beat the Jets 21-6 Wednesday night at Jaycee Park to take over first place in the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department's 7-9 football league.

In the other game, the Broncos blanked the Giants 28-0.

Jets 6

Dominique Watkins scored on a five-yard run and Cameron Hairston had the PAT in the first half for the Bears after Xavier Taylor scored on a 35-yard for the Jets.

Justin Totten had a three-yard run and passed to Hairston for the two-point conversion to give the Bears a 15-6 lead in the third quarter. Watkins finished the scoring with a 35-yard run.

Totten also had a pass interception.

Broncos 28

Giants 0

The Broncos scored 21 points in the second half to break the game open.

Cameron McGee, Kevin Cobb, Austyn Chestnut, and Curtis Smalls had touchdowns for the Broncos.

Justin Jackson passed to Kevin Cobb for a conversion and Jackson had two PAT runs.

Willy Blackstock had an interception.
