Bears, Broncos Advance To Finals

The Bears and Broncos advanced to the championship game of the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department’s 7-9 football playoffs Monday night at Jaycee Park with first round wins.
The third-seeded Broncos knocked off the second-seeded Jets 20-0 while the top-seeded Bears whipped fourth-seed Giants 34-6.
The Bears and broncos will meet in the championship game at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Jaycee Park.

The Broncos broke open a tight game with two touchdowns in the second half.
Austyn Chestnut scored on a 15-yard run for the Broncos and Curtis Smalls and Justin Jackson added short TD runs.
Jackson and Smalls had extra points.
Camron McGhee had a TD in the First Quarter for the Broncos.
Willy Blackstock had a pass interception.
Titus Jones recovered a fumble for the Jets.

Bears 34
Giants 6

The Bears scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to advance to the finals for the third straight season.
Cameron Hairston and Justin Totten scored a pair of TD’s for the Bears and Dominique Watkins also scored.
Watskins had an extra point and also passed for a two-point conversion to Cameron Hairston. Hairston and Totten also had conversions and Totten had a pass interception.
John Stevens returned a kick 45 yards for a touchdown for the Giants and Gregrey Evans recovered a fumble.
