Broncos Edge Bears For Championship

The Broncos scored on the final play of the game to edge the Bears 6-0 in the playoff championship of the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department’s 7-9 football league Wednesday night at Jaycee Park.
Justin Jackson scored on an eight-yard run as time expired in the fourth quarter to lift the Broncos.
Jackson’s fumble recovery midway through the final period set up the winning score.
The Bears finished as the regular season champion after having defeated the Broncos three times. The third-place Broncos trailed the second-place Jets in the final season standings.
Curtis Smalls also recovered a fumble for the Broncos.
Other defensive standouts for the Broncos were Wanya Enoch, Nelson Smith, Kevin Cobb, Marques Millner, Austyn Chestnut, Justin Hairston, Willy Blackstock, and Cameron Brown.
The Bears were led defensively by Marcus Melendez-Bailey, Justin Totten, Dominique Watins, Treyvon Cummings, Joey Blackstock, and Keshawn Hampton.
William Thomas scored a First Quarter touchdown for the Broncos.
